What is a start up valve?

1. Start up and discharge materials to ensure the purity of raw materials

When the production line is just started, there will be oxidized and deteriorated materials and old materials left in the barrel from the last production. The start-up valve can discharge these unqualified melts from the discharge port during the start-up phase. When the material quality meets the standard, it can switch to the normal production flow channel to ensure the purity of the officially produced materials and reduce defects in the finished products.

2. Overpressure relief to protect upstream core equipment

Once the pressure at the front end of the screen changer and melt pump sharply rises during production, exceeding the safety threshold of the equipment, the start-up valve can automatically open to discharge and release pressure, quickly releasing excessive pressure, avoiding damage to expensive core equipment such as extruders and melt pumps due to overpressure, and reducing downtime maintenance costs.

3. Fault interlock reduces downtime across the entire line

Especially in underwater pellet production scenarios, when encountering sudden faults such as mold blockage or abnormal water temperature, the start-up valve can quickly switch to the discharge station. The upstream extrusion equipment does not need to be shut down, and the material is directly discharged from the discharge port. After the downstream fault is resolved, production can be quickly resumed, greatly reducing the production capacity loss caused by downtime.

4. Precise control of material flow and direction

By adjusting the position of the plunger, the driving valve can accurately control the melt flow rate; At the same time, the direction of material outflow can be switched, facilitating the production conversion of different batches and grades of materials, and adapting to the flexible production needs of multiple varieties.

Normal production conditions of dual station flow channel structure: the flow channel is conductive, and the molten material is transported to downstream processing equipment such as mold heads and cutting machines; Discharge cleaning condition: Switching the flow channel to a 90 ° lateral outlet, the molten and residual materials inside the barrel are directly discharged outward.

The uniform temperature control design supports two schemes: electric heating and heat medium heating.
