Automatic mesh belt screen changer in extruder
The fully automatic mesh belt changer is a critical piece of equipment used for filtering impurities from molten materials in fields such as plastic extrusion and chemical fiber spinning.
Core Structure
Filtration System: Composed of a composite filtration unit featuring multiple layers of stainless steel mesh, typically ranging from 20 to 400 mesh, capable of intercepting impurity particles between 0.5 and 500μm.
Hydraulic Drive System: Equipped with a high-precision servo-hydraulic system enabling rapid screen changes. The screen change operation is completed within 0.3 seconds, with pressure fluctuations controlled within ±0.5MPa.
Intelligent Control System: Integrates PLC and pressure sensor networks. When the pressure differential across the filter reaches the preset value (typically 5-15MPa), the system automatically triggers the screen change sequence.
Working Principle
Trigger Mechanism: The control system initiates the screen change program when the melt pressure at the feed inlet reaches a preset value or when a predefined time interval is reached.
Heating: The control system automatically activates heating rods at the outlet end of the filter screen belt, raising the melt temperature at the outlet to facilitate screen movement.
Screen Movement: Under the pressure of the melt itself, the screen moves automatically, carrying impurities out of the melt through the screen belt and into the screen changer.
Cooling and Sealing: After the screen moves, when the inlet pressure drops to the normal operating value, the control system stops heating. Cooling water is then circulated through the outlet end to cool and solidify the melt, achieving a seal.

Chemical Fiber Spinning: Suitable for processes like PET spinning, reducing fiber breakage rates while enhancing production efficiency and product quality.
Plastic Film: Applicable to cast film and blown film production, preventing uneven film thickness or optical distortion caused by pressure fluctuations.
Pipe and Sheet Production: Used in manufacturing PVC sheets and pipes, ensuring production continuity and improving product quality.
