Extruder Screen Changer Installation Guide
1. DISASSEMBLY OF THE DIE
First of all, we have to disassemble the die. Remember to preheat the enamel where the extruder and the die are connected, and wait until the temperature is right before stopping the machine to dismantle it. Otherwise, the material in the runner will solidify and can't be disassembled. Safety first, prevent the mold from falling and hitting your feet. Remove all the bolts from the enamel.
2. Panning the mold or the main unit
Next, we have to pan the mold or the main unit to leave space between the mold and the main unit's screw barrel to install the screen changer. Be sure to be safe when panning, and if you need to lift, prepare ahead of time to prevent the mold from falling. You can either remove the mold or pan the mainframe backwards.
3. Extruder screen changer lifting
Now, let's lift the screen changer. Start by opening the wooden crate and lifting the protective film. Turn the lifting rings in the crate into the appropriate position according to the direction of installation. Note that there is a pressure sensor hole on the inlet side of the screen changer body, and there is a pressure sensor hole plug in the wooden box. If there is no pressure sensor on the extruder, you can plug the plug before lifting. You can also choose to install the pressure sensor after installing the screen changer, or plug the plug. If you don't plug it up, the runners will go straight through and it will bubble material.
4. Extruder Screen Changer Installation
Finally, let's install the screen changer. Lift the screen changer into the middle of the barrel flange and the mold flange, taking care to separate the inlet and outlet. The perforated plate on the slide plate in the inlet direction can be removed, but the perforated plate in the outlet direction cannot be removed. There is a cover plate on the main body of the screen changer in the export direction, so it is easy to distinguish. If you install it backwards, just reinstall it.
